Event Details

Have you ever wondered how you could support IWUG? This is your chance to do just that. Bring your friends along to attend this event. We need 150 people to attend this event to help secure sponsorship dollars from Microsoft. Please note this event is at 900 E. 96th street (Parkwood Crossing 9) and not at the regular Microsoft building.

We are sure you realize what an exciting time it is to be in IT. Great new technologies, never before features, awesome product releases in the likes of Windows 7, Server 2008 R2, SQL 2010, Office 2010 Client, Exchange 2010, Sharepoint 2010, Visual Studio 2010 and on. Today, we want to bring to you information on one of the best server operating systems to be released. If you have been attending IWUG long enough, you will remember we had a similar event around Server 2008, so if you missed that event you don't want to miss this one.

Microsoft’s Shawn Travers will be presenting on July 16th, 2009 and the topic will be Windows Server 2008 R2. With the product now in Release Candidate mode, we thought IWUG geeks would want to know the latest and greatest about Microsoft’s new server operating system. To keep it interesting, though, Shawn will be delivering the content using what he calls his "Demo Extravaganza" format. What does that mean? Less PPT and more demo! For those of you who have heard Joey speak at TechEd, you will appreciate that we are in for a treat.

Giveaways & Door Prizes:
As always, we have a great mix of giveaways in form of books, software etc. And everyone who attends will go home with a RC of Server 2008 R2
